World Book Day 2016

This year, Thursday 3rd March was World Book Day. World Book Day is a day for celebration of authors,  illustrators, books and reading. It is the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries worldwide! The main aim of World Book Day is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading.

At Winchelsea we celebrated with a Fancy Dress day! All children (and staff!) were invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character – and the costumes were wonderful!
