Christingle Service

On Wednesday 9th December, we held our first Christingle Service at St. Clements Church.

In the morning at school, every child made their own christingle and learnt about what they represent. In the afternoon, the entire school made their way to the church to perform our ‘Christingle Rock’ for friends and family.

Classes performed songs and actions they had learnt in music lessons and some pupils read readings about the origins of christingles. We then sang together and lit our candles. The younger children also dressed up and performed scenes from the nativity.

It was a wonderful service enjoyed by all who attended. A big thankyou goes to our music teacher Alison Newland for all her hard work with the children to create such lovely performances.
